Are You Interested?
There has been interest shown in the establishment of self-help interest group at Guild headquarters. It is envisaged that they may take the form of meeting from 10 am to 1 pm on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. Cost will be the same as other Groups meeting at Headquarters. So far, groups interested in cross stitch and wool embroidery have been proposed but other techniques will be considered where enough interest is shown. The groups will take the form of self-help interest groups and operate the same as other groups already existing within the Guild. If you are interested in being part of one of these groups or wish to propose another interest group, please contact Chris Selley to register your interest and to advise what days suit you so plans can be finalised and the groups can commence meeting.
Planning for the Future
Groups are being asked to consider the design
and working of a new 1.2 m x 1.8 m hanging (ie. 4' x 6') for the Guild
to commemorate its 50 years. This is only a preliminary notice and further
details and ideas will be provided/called for shortly, but start discussing
and thinking amongst your group about possible designs, inclusions, colours,
techniques etc. that might go into the development of such a hanging.

Transport to Headquarters
Visitors to Headquarters will find that the
Guild is conveniently situated less than one hundred metres from Concord
West Rail Station on the main northern line. If you need to change trains
at Strathfield we believe there are lifts on the platforms to make travel
easier for you. There are also public buses from Burwood and Strathfield
rail stations and from Macquarie University and Ryde on a regular basis
travelling along Concord Road, which is a short walk from Queen Street.
It is hoped the above information will help members and their friends
when planning to visit Headquarters.
